Let's crochet Cables and learn the Lace Broomstick stitch.

This Month of February has passed very quickly and I haven't had time to
upload any project, have not had time to visit my blogging friends, also have
not had time to read my posts ... for all that, I apologize!!!
Today I will share with you this beautiful project and then I'm going to take
time to read my messages. With that said, and hoping that I have been
forgiven, here begins my post :)

ningun proyecto, tampoco he tenido tiempo de visitar mis amigos bloggers , asi

Cables and Lace Broomstick Hat.

This crochet hat shows us something, today's crochet creations are endless.
I discovered this hat, through the Crochet Along group on Google+.

This was the challenge for the month of September 2013, a little late, but wanted to do it
and share with you my pictures and links for anyone who wants to try to do so.
Good news, the pattern to make this hat is free, having said that, I want you
to know that this project is for those who have an intermediate to advanced
level of knowledge in crochet.

You will find the pattern for this hat in an e Book from "Crochet Me" as I said
is  free, here's the link "8 Free Crochet Hat Patterns: Crochet Hats with Crochet  Me" and more good news in this eBook you have 8 patterns. You  have to register to download it, worth it, because there's always interesting projects and free e books.

http://www.crochetme.com/Crochet-Hat-Patterns/

Let me give you some links that for me was very useful:

For the cable band portion of the hat you need to know how to do the;

If you click on the name of the stitch it will take you straight to the tutorial I used .
The difference between the BPdc and the FPdc is the way you insert your hoop,
the first two letters FP and BP, guide us in the direction we have to take
with hook, the last two tell us the stitch that we have to do, in this case a
double crochet ( dc).

The second part is the Broomstick Lace stitch.

This crochet stitch is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to learn!

There is a video that helped me understand, and the video is on the site of
Stitch Diva Studios

I decided to add a flower and the pattern for the flower is also free and easy to do! The
pattern is from Crochet today. Here is the link.

Hopefully you have enjoyed this project; it is a challenge to learn new crochet
stitches, as I always like to learn something new, it was a victory to finish  it!
See you soon with new projects!

Have a beautiful and creative day!

Marisa :)

A light box for better photos.

A big hello to all of you my bloggy friends, I am back with you to share my new
creations with wool and cardboard!  Yes, you read it right ... I said wool and
cardboard
I will start showing you a crochet hat that I did for my cousin.  I finished
this hat a couple of weeks ago when there was no snow around me and I could
going outside to take photos, taking advantage of the presence of the sun.

Si, ustedes leyeron bien...dije lana y carton

The day's progress, the seasons change and thus the days get shorter, the cold
is  intense here in Quebec, the sun becomes more strange ... so I can't take more  photos outside
There were several reasons that led me to make a light box.
Foremost is the need for light to take good pictures.
I have read in several places the importance of having a light box, it's like having a mini photography studio and no longer rely  on the sun and the temperature (we have -11 degrees Celsius today).

With the help of my husband we started to make one of those light boxes that I  saw in several places.
According to the objects that we will photograph, should be the size of the box.

We need three lamps and we can now create a light box
Here I show you the pictures I took of my box.

I want to show this photo, with  the mannequin I use for my hats,   so you
can compare the size of the box in regard to my mannequin.
I'm going to leave at the end of the post a link to a very good tutorial, it is
indeed the tutorial I used to create my box.

Now I will show you photos of the set I ended up giving to my cousin, you will see
photos I took outside and the others that I take  in my light box, I leave
to you to take conclusions...

On the other hand I hope you like the hat and scarf I made. Unfortunately I have
no pattern for the first time I did it  following my intuition. I promise to create
another one and draw the pattern, it will be quite an adventure for me, writing a
crochet pattern to share with you, I love the idea!

if you want to create a light box for you!

 Have a nice day!
Marisa :)

The Butterfly Stitch Slouch Hat

Not long ago I discovered the community of google and in all honesty, I have to
confess, I opened a huge door to the web.

Google allowed me to discover new groups, new blogs, make new virtual friends
with the same passion that I have, would have to say with the various passions
that I have, because I like to sew, knit, crochet, do crafts too, and I also  like to
make jewelry. I can assure you that I found a group for each one of my passions.

You might wonder what I do not like to do, I confess.... I do not like "cooking"
and you're not going to believe me, I prepare daily meals for 8 people (my
parents, my 4 kids my husband and I).

One group I found in google community and to which I subscribed is the group of
"Meladora's creations for Crochet". Her group is full of beautiful people, each
one fills me with inspiration every day. Meladora performs a challenge each
month and when I saw that this month she proposed to make a "Slouch Hat" I could
not resist, and here's my slouch hat

Google  me permitió descubrir  nuevos grupos  , nuevos blogs, encontrar nuevos
hacer  artesanía , y me gusta hacer  joyas.

Here I leave the links:
to the Google Group " Meladora's creations for Crochet" click here,  to her site
where you will find a number of tutorials, free patterns and the pattern to do this hat and even videos ,
click here, and to her You Tube channel , I've subscribed to her  channel and I
invite you to subscribe, it is worth, this is the link .

You Tube, yo me he subscrito

Meladora, I want to thank you for your generosity, also  for all the time you devote to
create tutorials and videos to help us to learn and create.
A huge thanks to you!!!!

My new hat made in crochet.

Lately I've been playing with wool; I had several projects in mind and had
bought wool for each of them. I was doing a bit of crochet and knitting, every
night, for me, after dinner is the ideal time to get to knit while "listening" to
a television broadcast. I've said it well, as I " listen" and non watching,
my husband always sits next to me, and always says the same thing "I do not know
how you do for knitting, reading a book and look at the television" and to
surprise him , I make some comments about the emission we are seeing together.

Lately I have made several models of hats, today I'll show you a hat I made, following the instructions from a book I bought, and to use with that hat... I decided to
make my first scarf using two knitting needles. It's rare that I learned to
crochet before knitting, but so happened, I liked to do crochet more than knitting
from my earliest childhood , maybe the reason is because I was lucky to have the best teacher in the world, my grandmother.

I bought the book, "Clever Accessories Crocheted" and I loved it, there are several
interesting projects, very nice photos and my first project was perfect. I
bought it on Amazon and here I leave a link to Amazon where you will be able to
find the book, click here.
I want you to know that I have no affiliation with Amazon, I just want to share
with you  the link and the information about this book.

For the scarf, I decided to try something more complicated than the Stockinet
stitch, reading a book that I bought this time in French, I managed to make this
point.

This is the book I bought and it is written in French:
A L'École Du Tricot.

Here is the link if you want to see more information on the Amazon's site

Here I show more pictures, now I will add this hat to my crochet projects tab.
Hope you liked it.

I hope you enjoyed my creation, I will have more hats and scarves to share with you soon. Thanks for visiting my blog, I wish you to spend a beautiful day.
Marisa.

Let's make a crocheted hat in a weekend.

Here the winter is properly installed, despite sunny days, the cold is intense. For
me it is the perfect  motivation to do crochet accessories, that's why I made this hat and I love it.

This hat was designed by Sara Dudek, I bought the magazine  online, the name of the magazine is "Hooked on crochet Hats II" and  the link to buy it is here, if anyone is interested. ( I just want to warn you that I have no affiliation with that magazine, I just want to share with you the information because I really liked it the magazine)
The name of this pattern  is the "limited sans hats", as I finished it, I tried it
and since then it's my favorite hat. The most important thing is that other than
being cute, it keeps my ears warm!

Here I are more photos that I took, I was so happy with my result that I took
pictures from the front, side, back, top, sorry I couldn't stop taking photos!!

I think that is the variegated yarn that I used whom gives to this hat that beautiful look, because  it was by using that variegated yarn that  I could give  an interesting texture to this hat, without any extra effort other than follow the instructions of the pattern. The yarn that I used is "LOOPS & THREADS" Impeccable, and the color is EARTH OMBRE #04001.

I have other news to share with you, look at the next picture, isn't a nice
montage, right?

Now the good news!!!!
I'm super excited to tell you that the company
"My Memories" contacted me a couple of days ago, offering me the software "My Memories Suite" to give away on this blog.
My Memories Suite v4 is a fun and easy way to create scrapbooks, photobooks and more, I personally love scrapbooking and have long thought about the possibility of buying a software that is easy to use to create unique pictures, now I found it!

I started looking at some tutorials on you tube and discovered that this software
allows us to make buttons and banners for our blogs and create beautiful photos! The information about the giveaway will be in my next post, but if you want to go and see the features of this software, here I leave the link.

I hope you enjoyed this post, do not forget to leave me your comments, it gives me great pleasure to read them all, and answer your questions.

There's something else I want to tell you, is that everybody can participate in
this giveaway it is not necessary to be follower of my blog, but those who are
followers will have an extra opportunity to participate , OK... I will explain this in my next post so ...stay tuned !!!!!

Have a nice day!
Marisa.
