Happy 2014 to you all!

I hope you enjoyed this month of holidays that just passed, everything has a 
beginning and an end and that's how it started and ended 2013.
, I decided to take a few weeks 
off during the holidays, to enjoy with my family. Now I have a terrible urge to 
be here with you and begin another new year.

 

 

I have to confess that I feel an overflowing energy to start the year!!!

 

 

This year I have a number of projects in mind, I would like to do a bit of 
everything, considering I have an array of fabrics, wool, paint, paper, 
materials for making jewelry and especially very many ideas, we're going to have fun certainly.

 

 

Another thing I want to do this year is to allow you to discover new blogs, 
above all I want to let you to know my bloggy-friends, those friends that are always 
giving me inspiration and also encouragement to continue creating.

 

This is my first post of 2014 and today I want to show a bag I made for a 
friend of my mom.

The wavy bag, a model that I like to do and above all my friends like, is why 
when I hear them say "I would love to have one like this in black" ... I can not resist the temptation to start looking fabric in my arsenal of fabrics, believe 
me when I say that is an array of fabrics! It was in this way that this project 
began and ended, a friend said the magic words "I would love to have one like 
this in black" and I started to sew this bag.


 

 

  

 

Hola,  espero que todos ustedes  hayan  disfrutado  de este período de fiestas 
que acaba de terminar, todo tiene un principio y un fin y así es como empezó y 
término el 2013.
Estoy contenta de estar de nuevo en mi blog, decidí tomar unas semanas  de 
descanso durante el periodo de fiestas, para disfrutarlas con mi familia. Ahora 
tengo unas ganas terribles de estar aquí con ustedes y comenzar otro nuevo año.

 

Tengo que confesar que me siento con una energía desbordante para empezar el año en el blog.

 

Para este año tengo una cantidad de proyectos en mente,  quisiera hacer un poco 
de todo, considerando que tengo un arsenal de telas, lana, pintura, papeles, 
materiales para hacer joyas y sobre todo muchísimas ideas, nos vamos a divertir 
con toda seguridad.

Otra cosa que quisiera hacer este año es permitirles a ustedes de descubrir 
nuevos blogs, sobre todo yo quisiera que ustedes conozcan a mis amigas blogueras, 
esas amigas que siempre me están dando inspiración y me dan aliento para seguir 
creando.

 

 

Esta es mi primera publicación del año 2014, hoy les quiero mostrar un bolso que 
hice  para una amiga de mi mama.

 

Una Wavy bag, es un modelo que me gusta hacer y que sobre todo les gusta a mis 
amigos, es por eso que cuando les escucho decir" me encantaría tener una así de 
color negro"...yo no puedo resistir la tentación de empezar a buscar  tela en mi 
arsenal de telas, créanme cuando digo que es un arsenal de telas! Fue de esta 
manera que comenzó y termino este proyecto, una amiga dijo las palabras mágicas 
"me encantaría tener una así de color negro" y yo me empecé a coser este bolso.

 

 

 

 

I decided to make a small bag to accompany the big one. I bought the pattern here   is a pattern from Elizabeth Hartman and you will find 3 different bag styles that you will love.

This is the one I did!


 

 

Decidí hacer un pequeño bolso  para acompañar  a él grande. El patrón lo compre  aquí, y está en ingles pero hay muchas fotos. El patrón fue hecho por Elizabeth 
Hartman y en el encontraran tres bolsos, son tres estilos diferentes que 
seguramente les va a gustar.
Este es el que yo hice.

A light box for better photos.

 

 

A big hello to all of you my bloggy friends, I am back with you to share my new 
creations with wool and cardboard!  Yes, you read it right ... I said wool and 
cardboard

I will start showing you a crochet hat that I did for my cousin.  I finished 
this hat a couple of weeks ago when there was no snow around me and I could 
going outside to take photos, taking advantage of the presence of the sun.

 

 

 

Una gran ola para todos mis amigos virtuales, aquí estoy otra vez con ustedes 

para compartir mis nuevas creaciones, con lana y con cartón!

Si, ustedes leyeron bien...dije lana y carton

 

Voy a comenzar mostrándoles   este sombrero en crochet que terminé para mi prima

 hace un par de semanas cuando todavía no había nieve a mí alrededor  y podía 

salir afuera a tomar fotos aprovechando de la presencia del sol.

 

 

 

 

 

The day's progress, the seasons change and thus the days get shorter, the cold

is  intense here in Quebec, the sun becomes more strange ... so I can't take more  photos outside

There were several reasons that led me to make a light box.

Foremost is the need for light to take good pictures.

 I have read in several places the importance of having a light box, it's like having a mini photography studio and no longer rely  on the sun and the temperature (we have -11 degrees Celsius today).

 

 

With the help of my husband we started to make one of those light boxes that I  saw in several places.

According to the objects that we will photograph, should be the size of the box.

 

We need three lamps and we can now create a light box

Here I show you the pictures I took of my box.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Los días avanzan, las estaciones cambian y con ello los días se acortan, el frío

 por aquí en Quebec es intenso, el sol se hace más raro...por lo tanto no puedo 

tomar más fotos al exterior

Varias fueron las razones que me llevaron a fabricar una caja de luz.

 La principal  es la necesidad de luz para tomar buenas fotos.  

He leído en varios sitios la 

importancia de tener una light box  , es como tener un mini estudio de

fotografía  y ya no depender de el sol y la temperatura (hoy  tenemos -11 grados Celsius).

 

Con la ayuda de mi esposo nos pusimos a fabricar una de esas cajas de luz que vi

 en varios sitios.

Según los objetos que nosotros vamos a fotografiar, debe ser el tamaño de la 

caja que debemos usar,  necesitamos también  tres lámparas y manos a la obra...

 

 

 

 

 

I want to show this photo, with  the mannequin I use for my hats,   so you 

can compare the size of the box in regard to my mannequin.

 I'm going to leave at the end of the post a link to a very good tutorial, it is 

indeed the tutorial I used to create my box.

 

 

 

 

Les quiero mostrar esta foto, donde está el maniquí que uso generalmente para

mis sombreros,  así ustedes pueden comparar el tamaño de la caja con respecto a

mí mannequin

Les voy a dejar al final del post  un  enlace hacia un muy buen tutorial, es en 

efecto  el tutorial que yo use para crear mi caja.

 

 

 

Now I will show you photos of the set I ended up giving to my cousin, you will see 

photos I took outside and the others that I take  in my light box, I leave

to you to take conclusions...

 

 

 

 

On the other hand I hope you like the hat and scarf I made. Unfortunately I have

 no pattern for the first time I did it  following my intuition. I promise to create 
another one and draw the pattern, it will be quite an adventure for me, writing a 
crochet pattern to share with you, I love the idea!

Let's create a fabric postcard for Christmas!!!

 

Today I will share with you this tutorial, this was the project that I presented

as a guest post on the blog "Creare per r'ESISTERE". I decided to upload this

project in case there is anyone in this virtual world that has not seen it and

want to create Christmas cards with fabric. We begin here and hope you like it!

 

 

 

Hoy voy a compartir con ustedes este tutorial, este fué el proyecto que yo 

presenté como guest post  en el blog "Creare per r'ESISTERE".  Decidi subir este

proyecto en mi blog por las dudas que haya alguien en este mundo virtual que no

lo haya visto y quiera crear cartas de navidad con tela. Aqui comenzamos y

espero que les guste!

 

 

 

1) Buy a set of blank cards and envelopes

1) Comprar un paquete de tarjetas blancas con sus sobres

 

 

 

 

 

 2) I cut a piece of fabric that was smaller than the size of the card.

2) Cortar un pedazo de tela  más pequeña que el tamaño original de la tarjeta.

 

3) I decided to add on the back of the fabric, a piece of fusible interfacing to

 give more body to the fabric, but that is up to you.

 

3) Decidí  pegar en la parte de atrás de  la  tela, un pedazo de fusible 
interfacing  para darle más cuerpo a la tela, pero eso depende  de ustedes .

 

 

 

 

4) Using fabric scraps I cut a few triangles and attach them to the fabric 

with pins, then take them to the sewing machine.

 

4) Usando restos de  tela de tipo fieltro que tenia, corte unos triángulos y los 

sujete a la tela con alfileres, para luego llevarlos a la máquina de coser

 

5) Then I decided to add a piece of burlap in the back to give a more rustic 
style.
5) Luego decidí agregar un pedazo de jute en la parte de atrás, para darle un 
estilo más rústico.

6) Now comes the most beautiful, decorate with what you have on hand,
buttons,  beads, ribbons....the sky is the limit!

6) Ahora viene la parte más linda, decorar con lo que tengamos a nuestro
alcance,  perlas, alabatorios, botones...dejen volar su imaginacion!

7) The last thing is to glue our creation to the card, I used a hot glue gun.

7) Lo último es pegar nuestra creación a la tarjeta, yo use una pistola de cola  caliente.

24 days to Xmas! My first "Guest Post" is today!!!!

 

This is a short note to remind you that today is the day in which I participate

as a guest on the blog "Creare per r'ESISTERE". The first part of the post is

written in Italian, but if you keep rolling towards the end, you will find the

I want to show you a picture of the project I did. The theme to participate

it had to be something related to Christmas, so I decided to create a Christmas

 Este es un breve mensaje para recordarle que hoy es el día en el que participo
como invitado en el blog "Creare por r'ESISTERE". La primera parte del mensaje 
está escrito en italiano, pero si se mantienen bajando  hacia el final, allí

Les quiero mostrar a ustedes una foto del proyecto que hice. El tema para 
participar tenía que ser algo relativo a la Navidad, entonces decidí crear una

24 days to Xmas! My first "Guest Post"

 

My first guest post will be posted on the beautiful blog

 " Creare per  r'ESISTERE".
When Elisabetta contact me to propose me the idea of creating a tutorial with a 
Christmas project, I said yes right away!
Her idea is to create a special Advent calendar, where each day we will have a 
new project, a new thought or a suggestion.

 

Elisabetta has created a button that will take us directly to herblog.

For me it is a new experience and I'm really  excited to be part of this event.
I still don't know what day will be my turn to make my guest post, but as I 
know it,  I will let you know.

 

 

At the end of this post I will add the "24 days to Xmas" button, and you will

find  the link on the right bar. I think it will be an interesting way to

discover new friends. The publications will be written in Italian and English,

Oh you don't know how I love the Italian language is a language that I always

wanted to learn, maybe someday I will.

 

 

So here is officially launched the invitation to this event, I hope you will 
find good ideas, but above all I wish to discover new bloggy friends ... we'll 
be in touch.

 

 

 



Mi primera publicación como invitada en un blog, será publicada en el hermoso 
blog  " Creare per r'ESISTERE" .
Cuando Elisabetta entro en contacto conmigo para proponerme la idea de crear un 
tutorial con un Proyecto de Navidad, le dije que sí de inmediato!

Su idea es crear un  "Advent calendar" (disculpen olvide el nombre en español), 
donde cada día tendremos un  nuevo proyecto, una idea o  alguna  sugestión.  
Elisabetta  ha creado un botón que nos llevara directamente a su blog. Para mí 
es una nueva experiencia y estoy realmente excitada de formar parte de este 
evento.
Todavía yo no sé que día  será mi turno de presentar mi "guest post",  pero en
cuanto yo lo sepa se los dejare saber.


En el medio , entre los dos post ( inglés y español) encontrarán el botón "24 days to  Xmas", y también  encontrarán el enlace en la barra  a la derecha. Creo que será una
manera interesante de descubrir nuevos amigos. Las publicaciones serán escritas 
en Italiano y en Ingles, si ustedes supieran como  me gusta el idioma italiano,
es un idioma que siempre quise aprender, quizás algún día lo haga.

Bueno , entonces aquí queda  oficialmente lanzada la invitación a participar a este 
evento, ojala ustedes encuentren buenas ideas, pero sobre todo ojala puedan 
descubrir nuevos "bloggy friends"...estaremos en contacto!

Let's decorate a wreath.

 

 

 

A couple of days ago I wanted to create something decorative for my home, I 
found these objects and I said to myself that it would be interesting to recycle them.

 

Hace un par de días me dieron ganas de crear algo decorativo para mi casa,    
encontré estos objetos y me dije a mi misma que sería interesante reciclarlos.

 

 

Today I'll show you the steps I followed for recycling the wreath!

 First thing I did was paint it white, to do that, I used a spray paint called

Krylon.

 

Hoy les voy a mostrar los pasos que yo seguí para reciclar la corona.
Lo primero que hice  fue pintarla de color blanco, para hacer eso, usé una 
pintura en  espray que se llama Krylon.



Added burlap on one side of the wreath.

Luego le agregué un retazo de jute.



On the other side I put a piece of lace that I had from another project.

 En el otro lado le  puse un retazo de encaje que tenia de otro proyecto.



Then I began to add fabric flowers, I also added a wood flower, and tried to 
make a composition that I liked with all these flowers.
Lately I've been making fabric flowers, I'm starting to get more ideas about
where I can use them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Luego me puse a agregar flores en tela y agregué una flor hecha en madera y 
traté  de hacer  una composición que me gustara. Últimamente estuve haciendo una

cantidad de flores de tela,  estoy empezando a tener mas ideas de donde las

puedo usar.

 

 

 

In my next posts   I'll show you what I'm going to do with the rest of the

objects,  by the time I painted all in white and I'm finishing decorate the basket, I'll  try to write the post as soon as I can. I also have other projects that I have to post, ah.... if one day   had more than 24 hours, all that could be done!

 

 

En mis  próximas publicaciones les iré mostrando lo que voy a hacer con el resto

 de los objetos, por el momento he pintado todo en blanco y estoy terminando de 
decorar la canasta,  voy a tratar de escribir el post lo más pronto que yo 
pueda. También tengo otros proyectos que tengo que subir, ah ....si solamente   
un  día tuviera más de 24 horas, todo lo que podría ser hecho!
